About Us

We are a Texas based directional boring contractor who specializes in horizontal directional boring in Texas as well as nationwide commonly known as HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling), directional boring, or underground boring.

Directional boring services are utilized when “other than open cut trenching” is required. Underground pipe boring contractor services are available for both commercial and residential sectors throughout most of the continental United States primarily in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico. We have completed all job types and sizes ranging from as little as 10 feet in excess of 3,000 feet comprising of everything from sidewalk bores, driveway bores, road bores, creek and river bores. Trenchless technology such as ours is necessitated particularly when trenching and/or boring under environmentally sensitive areas, such as waterways, is not feasible and utilizes underground pipe placement with sizes ranging from one inch to 30 inches in diameter.

No matter the scope, location, or size of the project, we strive to meet and exceed your expectations while staying on budget and within specific time constraints. With excellent customer service and experienced staff, we are here for all your project needs.

What sets us apart is our dedication to your satisfaction while providing timely underground directional boring at reasonable costs. Our trenchless technology ensures we can install underground utilities, such as gas, water, sewer, fiber optic lines, etc. with minimal civil disturbances.

For questions or concerns regarding directional boring services, please contact us at (888)960.2050, (682)702.5457 or via email.

We look forward to the opportunity of working with you.

Horizontal Directional Boring

American Directional Boring provides Directional Boring, also called horizontal directional drilling. HDD (Horizontal Directional Boring), is a viable option for trenchless pipe placement where avoidance of civil disturbances is a priority such as traffic interruptions, large ground surface disturbances as well as damage to underground existing utilities. Underground boring helps minimize costly repairs to surface areas, requiring little or no environmental, landscape, street, or sidewalk repairs.

HDD is a method of installing underground pipe, steel casing, conduit or cable on a preferred bore path by using steerable trenchless method from a Horizontal Directional Drill located on the surface. It is used when trenching or excavating is not feasible. HDD is the preferred method for bores under roads, landscape and river crossings.

Suitable materials such as HDPE, poly pipe (polyethylene and polypropylene), PVC, ductile iron, steel, cable, fiber, inner-duct, etc. can be pulled through the drilled hole. A pilot hole is bored first followed by opening the hole gradually through a process known as reaming.

Directional boring is employed when installing all types of infrastructure such as but not limited to power cable conduits, gas pipeline, water lines, oil lines, product pipelines, telecommunications, fiber optic inner-ducts, drainage lines or environmental remediation casings. Where methods other than directional boring are costly.
